Here is what we did and got to see!!!
Itinerary:
Monday 6/18
-Al's Oasis (had a very yummy breakfast)
-Badland National Park (1st time Sean had ever seen them)
-Wall Drug
-Dinosaur Park in Rapid City
-Longhorn Steakhouse (supper in Rapid City)
-Spent the night at the Hisega Lodge B and B near Rapid City
Tuesday 6/19
-Reptile Gardens (watched a great alligator show)
-Cosmos (that was one weird place, we had both never been there)
-Mt. Rushmore
-Rushmore Cave
-Deadwood (did a little bit gambling, but weren't too impressed)
-Franklin Hotel (had the buffet at the Franklin)
Wednesday 6/20
-A lot of driving...
-Drove thru Sturgis to see what the town actually looks like
-Drove thru Spearfish
-Drove out to Wyoming to see Devil's Tower (my first time to Wyoming, very beautiful out there)
-Stopped in Aladdin, Wy (population 15) to use a real wooden outhouse to go to the bathroom, lol
-Spent some time in Rapid City: ate at Firehouse Brewery, tasted their own brewed beer, me: blue eyed girl, Sean: mail order bride, went to a couple of Irish bars and had a drink there as well
-Back to Deadwood for another night at the Franklin Hotel, ate some breaded steak tips and fries at the Old 10 Saloon
Thursday 6/21
-Got registered for a horseback trail ride at 1pm
-Went to Prairie Berry Winery (tried lots of wine, bought a couple bottles, 1 being Red Ass Rhubarb)
-Nakey Winery.... ;) Loved that one, got a bottle of Booty Call (a blush wine), oh so good, cute wine names
-Toured Hill City and Keystone, browsing/shopping
-Did our Horseback ride, I rode a black horse named Max, Sean rode a black horse named Crow
-ate at the Powder House (Sean liked it, I didn't)
-We got to ride a helicopter for the first time out of Keystone to see Mt. Rushmore better!!! That was cool!
-Drove out to Crazy Horse Monument and seen that... Sean had never seen it before, took home a couple of rocks from the blast
-Stayed at Elk Ridge B&B, very beautiful log post bed
Friday 6/22
-1880's train ride from Keystone to Hill City and back.... steam engine... very fun
-Started heading home, stopped at the 1880's town, also very neat to see
-Our finale was eating at Al's Oasis again, had the prime rib.... best prime rib, melt in your mouth... Yummy!!!

Was very happy to talk to Matthew a few times and get back home to see the little bugger.
