Coming Soon: A Star Wars Birthday Party!!

Matthew's birthday is coming up pretty soon. August 14th to be exact. He will be 7. Guess what the theme is? Star Wars. Guess what his favorite character is? Darth Vader. Oh boy... This will be a fun day for him. :D

Not following any trends

When you think of little boys, and ask them what their favorite colors are, what do they say? Most little boys will tell you green or blue. Not Matthew. Do you want to know what this little boy's favorite color is??? YELLOW That's right. Yellow. He's definitely a bright kid.

As far as action figures go, most little like to the be the good guys. Not Matthew. He prefers the bad guys. lol.

A long while back, I would ask Matthew what he wants to be when he grows up. Usually he just says I don't want to grow up. One time he told me, he wants to be a felon. Or so I thought he said. I was shocked, a felon? Then I figured out what he was really saying.... a villian. lol. I don't think that's much better kiddo.

So I'm happy that Matthew doesn't follow suit with what every other little kid likes. He is definitely his OWN little person and that makes him much more special. When I was a kid, I wasn't like that, I followed the trends of other people.

I hope one day Matthew stands out as a LEADER in life. Not vice versa.

Another's St. Patty's Day Favorite :)

We are LUCKY to have each other.

Spending time with Grandpa

Yesterday we headed up to Garretson, just the boys, Grandpa, and me.... My dad has never seen Devil's Gulch so we stopped there and Split Rock Park and had some lunch. Here is a couple photos of our day.

Horses----Matthew's choices

My mom has given each boy a horse to call their own like she did with my sister and I when we were kids.

Originally, Matthew got the horse, Cha Cha Cha, as she was born 2 days before his birthday a couple of years ago. Unfortunately she never grew much, so she will be heading to Canada soon...

This is the horse my mom and I think Matthew should have... Cowgirl. She too was born and raised at my parents' farm. She's beautiful!!!

This is the horse Matthew likes... the big brown horse (we taught him the correct color name, bay), of course this mare was in foal to a very, very nice buckskin stallion. Lol.
He's smart huh, pick the last mare to foal this year, that produced one heck of a baby, and the baby is a girl!!!

Toothless (again)

Matthew finally lost tooth #3 on 7/7/12, one of his front 2 teeth. :)
