1970 VW Bug

My Mom has been on the hunt for a classic car for awhile now. She used to have a '57 Chevy Bel Air Convertible and a '55 Chevy Nomad back in her day. Well then she got married and decided it was either keep the cars or the horses. She chose the horses. She probably could have retired on those cars had she kept them all those years.

So the hunt was on to find another classic car that we could make nice again. 

We came across an old Chevy pickup that was just too much money, with lots of money to stick into it yet... 

On New Year's Day,  I was playing around on Facebook and happened to run across an ad for this Bug on a Rummage Sale site. So I showed my Mom. She loved it. Obviously it isn't the kind of classic car she really wanted and really never thought much of the VW Bug's in her day other than the fact they were cute, but it was just too cute to pass up.

Plus it actually runs! Sean drove it home with Phoenix. They had a blast.

The boys are really looking forward to this project as am I. It will be fun fixing it up this summer. 

We have so many ideas for it.
