Bug Bites Galore

Ugh. Bugs. This is the start of a terrible thing for Matthew. On the 4th of July, Matthew got bit on the forehead. The next day the thing was 4 cm by 5 cm and looked like a goose knobber. So I took him in and they put him on an antibiotic and Zyrtec. Matthew almost has to go in for any little thing because he's a potential staph infection mishap. So the Dr. said if he gets better in a few days to stop the antibiotics on day 5. So I stopped on day 6, just in case. Well I dump the stuff and on the next day, Matthew gets a bug bite on his left cheek and on his right leg. He told me the one on his leg. So I'm watching it for a couple days and the cheek ends up getting really red around it, not really swollen, the leg one looks bad. It's swollen and it's pretty warm to the touch, obviously quite infected on the verge of being a nasty staph infection or MRSA. We know too well about MRSA's, and really don't want to spend another couple days in the hospital for that so I took him in today. He is on the same antibiotic for 10 days.
