I think Matthew has "pica." I guess I wasn't noticing it at home much, but Sean has caught him chewing on the Wii remotes, steering wheel, my phone, etc. I was looking at Matthew's octopus toy from Toy Story 3 and all the legs have been chewed on. I looked into the definition of pica on wikipedia and it says:
Pica is more common in women and children. Pica in children (usually only in young children or children with autism or another mental or developmental disorder) may be dangerous.
Well that makes sense, something that goes hand in hand with Autism. Hmm....
Guess I'll really have to be keeping an eye on him and let his dr. know at his next checkup.
