Good News July 19,2008

Well I wasn't supposed to officially find out til next Friday. But I found out yesterday, Matthew's approved to be in Early Childhood Education. They had to do all their little tests just to be sure, at least that's what the state wants.
So that is really good news.
Matthew will go to school starting late August, 4 times a week. So I think it amounts to about 11 hours a week. He definitely needs that.
I've got a lot of support behind us on this.... from his family, friends, daycare and doctors.
I was even checking out the school supply lists at Walmart the other day and found out he needed a few things, so that was fun getting his 5 things he needs! Haha.
It'll be hard sending him that first day or so. I'm taking it off work so I can send him and then go to school his first day. Poor guy. Just turns 3 in the middle of August to.
But the good news is, he'll be in this program until he starts kindergarten. So he'll have a good 3 years of help because he'll be 6 when he starts kindergarten.
So he'll be stuck in school til 2024. Wow. Gosh that's along time. Here 13 years of school's a lot but his will be 16 years, eeeek...
So once he starts school, they'll have an Autism team check him for that too, it's not a bad idea to get a second opinion.
